This short Prelude in C major by Matteo Carcassi was originally published in his Complete Method for the Guitar, Opus 59. Carcassi wrote, "I shall always esteem myself amply rewarded for my labour, if I can obtain certainty of having composed a useful work."

first there is an overall "concert view", then a close up view of the left hand, followed by a close up of the right hand as it plays. Each of the three views allow the guitarist to observe in fine detail the playing technique for this piece.
